Bioshock Ultimate Rapture Edition confirmed by BBFC listing

first_imgThe British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) accidentally revealed today that a special edition pack of the first two Bioshock games is on its way. The edition will include Bioshock 1 and 2 along with all the main story and multiplayer DLC for both titles. The BBFC is currently responsible for age rating video games in the UK, although this power will soon be handed over to PEGI on July 23rd. It’s unclear why they posted this so early and well ahead of any official release announcement, but it does confirm the strong laguage and strong bloody violence still eanrs both games an adult rating. The BBFC has since removed the information from their website, quite probably after 2K Games phoned up and complained. For the moment, 2K is staying quiet about the Rapture edition. This reveal comes just weeks after 2K announced Bioshock Infinite has been delayed until February 2013. Many believe and hope this delay is to make way for Grand Theft Auto V, although 2K have not confirmed these suspicions yet so it may be down to the game just needing more development time. The Ultimate Rapture Edition has not been confirmed for US gamers yet, but it’s likely it will be released over here too. If it manages to include something new, or at least carries a relatively low price point, it could act as a way to drum up more enthusiasm for the next game, and get those who long ago traded in their copies to play the games again.via ShopTolast_img
